Should Animals and Pets be Attuned to Reiki?

Posted by cedarcovewellness on March 31, 2012 at 7:35 PM

I truly believe Reiki attunements for animals and pets help them to heal both physically and emotionally. It also helps them to heal others as well. They are so open to healing and have such huge hearts, they will help us and others to feel better whenever they can.

I have attuned all kinds of animals and pets to Reiki. My own pets including dogs, cats and fish, the donkeys and others at PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary and other people’s pets. I have also offered Reiki attunements to wildlife. I haven’t had any animal or pet refuse a Reiki attunement. But that is their choice. I always respect their wishes.

Our dog Winnie has her second level Reiki attunement, she attends the Reiki courses and Reiki shares that I hold. She would lay at the foot of my mother in laws bed and send Reiki healing and grounding to her.

Eddie our cat is attuned to the second level of Reiki as well. At one of the second level Reiki courses he actually laid beside a student on the Reiki table and put his paws on her feet. He fell asleep and snored while still holding her feet. Miss Kitty our kitten was attuned to Reiki shortly after she showed up on our front door step.

Holly who is on the other side had her Reiki Master attunement and would stay with me while I attuned students. The attunement also helped her to heal and she lived until almost 14 years old despite having kidney problems since she was one and a half years old.

I do include Reiki attunements for animals in my Animal Reiki treatment sessions. If I feel the pet or animal needs their Reiki attunement I will offer it to them. Attuning them to Reiki can have a huge impact on their health. I have had some amazing improvements both physically and emotionally after they have accepted the Reiki attunement.

So yes I do believe animals and pets should be attuned to Reiki. Why not? It can only benefit themselves and others.
